OSCMPTE
SMPTE, but then over OSC and with way more layers, directly from Ableton live! What more could you want?
OSCMPTE is the ultimate sync monster between Ableton Live and Resolume. With OSCMPTE you can select which Ableton Clip, is going to completely takeover which Resolume clip, per Track or Layer. Because it’s a network-based app, you can run OSCMPTE on stage and control a Resolume Video Server in the front of house, with nothing but an Ethernet cable!
This Max for Live device controls the playhead of a clip running in Resolume, with Ableton Live via OSC.
The device looks at the track it's dropped on, as well as the clip that's currently playing and automatically triggers the right clip you need. It does this, by filling in the layer and clip number boxes, in the Max for live device.
Have a look at how to syncronize your clip playhead in Resolume from Abelton Live:
Read how to setup your system from start to finish:
IP
Set both computers to the same IP range. Make sure your wifi is off and set the port to 7000 (or another port that Resolume listens to). This makes it possible to drop multiple devices into your live set at once. If you change the IP or port of one of the devices, the rest of them will update as well.
Automation
You can automate your clip selection in Resolume, by simply automating in the layer and clip number boxes, in the Max for life device.
